"DiSanto’s flavor of absurdist troubadourism (which can be heard a cappella at Wild Raft Records) fits well with Skeletonized’s metallic free jazz discord. Instead of a bard wandering through a meadow playing around with alliteration and juggling little marshmallows, DiSanto here becomes a prophet boldly leading a legion of tempestuous saxophone, wandering bass, squealing guitars, and nimble drums. Together they run roughshod over a land populated by bizarre turns of phrase and characters like the 'Directional Druid', to whom DiSanto administers an idiosyncratic pep talk, singing, 'I hope you go far / Far enough to feel / A flavorful feel'. That flavorful feel is threatened by a cobra that finds itself embodied by a flatulent saxophone that writhes and twists around the other instruments like they’re mere pieces of prey. It’s complete chaos, and it’s a lot of fun."
